Modify the intensity parameter to add emphasis to the reverb tail. Additionally, add pre-delay or modulation to the signal. Adjust the focus of the reverb by using the individual high pass and low pass filters on both the DRY and WET channels. Additionally, dial-in the amount of dry signal and adjust how much of the wet reverb signal is added, or simply bypass a reverb type.
Additional Features for MREV Mixer (a springs, plates & spaces reverb)
Craft the sound to suit your audio.
Push the signal to soft clip by increasing the input slider beyond zero dB. Subsequently, this will add in a subtle arctan wave shape soft-clipping which increases as the slider goes above zero dB. Therefore, this can be used to shape the output and introduce new sounds.
The EQ has built-in Mid-Side processing capabilities and output gain and phase controls. Use the mid/side processing to create your own reverb blend. Perhaps the side channel needs more reverb or requires different settings. For example, a drum bus may require more reverb on the hi-hat and less on the kick drum. Switching between mid and side enables a separate set of controls.
Use the A-B comparison, so that different settings can be compared. The keep button resets the A-B functionality, so that current settings can be retained.
Save your presets using the inbuilt preset functionality. The plugin ships with a selection of presets that can be used as starting points to create your own reverb.
All plugins come with free updates, so please remember to subscribe to our mailing list to be notified of future updates.
Please find a list of examples. The first sample is a dry signal while the second is one with reverb applied. An image used for each of the settings is provided below the sample with reverb.
MREV-MIXER User Guide
This is a guide on how to use the MREV-MIXER plugin.
Create a unique reverb sound using this reverb mixer which ships with springs, plates, and spaces. Mix your own reverb by choosing any combination of the three types. Four different characteristic options are available for each of the reverb types.
Modify the intensity and add pre-delay or modulation to the signal. Use high pass and low pass filters on each channel. Dial-in the amount of dry signal and adjust how much wet signal of each of the different reverb types is added, or simply bypass a reverb type.
Push the signal to soft clip by increasing the input slider beyond zero dB.
The EQ has built-in Mid-Side processing capabilities and output gain and phase controls.
Preset functionality (includes a selection of factory presets)
The EQ operates in stereo mode or dual-mono mode.
The input level can be adjusted between the values -∞dB to 12dB, using the input slider. Soft clipping occurs if the input signal moves above zero dB.
There are four separate outputs, which include a dry signal, springs, plates, and spaces.
Each of the outputs can be enabled/bypassed using the activation button below each of the four outputs.
Each output has a high pass and low pass filter attached. This can be used to adjust the signal that is affected.
The reverb outputs can be controlled using the following parameters:
Intensity: increases the impact of the reverb
Modulate: applies a modulation signal to the reverb
Wet: Changes the amount of reverb signal applied
Pre Delay: Applies a pre delay to the reverb signal
In stereo mode, the MSLR panel will appear. The MSLR panel allows the processing and the output to be controlled.
Select either Mid (M), Side(S), Left(L) or Right(R) or All(A) channels to activate.
Selecting the A button will process the left and right channels using the settings in the active main panel.
Selecting either M or S will perform Mid/Side processing while selecting L or R will perform LR processing. Each channel will be processed using a separate main panel for each channel.
Pressing either L or M will activate a panel with a grey border OR pressing R or S will activate a panel with an orange border. Settings can then be adjusted for the grouping selected.
If any of the MSLR buttons are active, activating the link button (situated between the LM group and the RS group) will cause both channels to be processed. If the link button is not active, then the channel selected will be unprocessed, while the other corresponding channel will be left untouched. Both signals will combine to form the output.
The Solo buttons (speaker buttons at the top of the group allow either channel to be muted. For instance, if M is active but S should be muted, then disable the speaker above the RS group.
The output slider allows the signal output to be adjusted between -∞dB and 12dB.
Disable the link button between the Out L and Out R to allow the sliders to move independently.
Use the phase buttons below each slider to toggle the phase of either the left or right channel.
The reset button (circular arrow button below the output slider group of controls), can be pressed to reset the plugin to factory defaults.
